The nation-wide telephone help service by the EKD is free for calls made from German landline or mobile networks.
In the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland there are numerous contact people available. The first address to turn to initially is the minister and/or paid staff members in the local parish. This is where pastoral matters, questions about baptism, confirmation, weddings and funerals will normally be dealt with. The local parish where you live has the prime responsibility for this.

In addition there Is a nation-wide telephone help service by the EKD which is free for calls made from German landline or mobile networks. All enquiries are welcome on calls to 0800-5040602. This telephone service is available on weekdays Monday to Friday from 09.00 – 18.00, except on national public holidays. Those staffing the phones will be able either to answer the callers’ questions directly or will know where they can go to get the answers. Questions can also be sent by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
